Golf Channel’s Matt Ginella Ranks 3 Myrtle Beach Golf Courses Among America’s Top 50

A star on the network’s Morning Drive program, Ginella just unveiled his list of the nation’s top 50 public courses and three of Myrtle Beach’s best golf courses were among the honorees. 

Caledonia Golf & Fish Club led the Myrtle Beach contingent, ranking 16th on Ginella’s list, which was unveiled on Morning Drive. Caledonia, which is also ranked among America’s best public golf courses by Golf Digest, Golf Magazine and Golfweek, ranked just behind a quartet of high-profile layouts that host PGA Tour events – Kapalua, Harbor Town, TPC Sawgrass and the Ocean Course – and ahead of major championship venues like Chamber’s Bay, Erin Hills and Pine Needles. 

The famed Dunes Golf & Beach Club, a consensus top 100 course that helped put Myrtle Beach on the map, ranked 23rd. As a former host of the U.S. Women’s Opens and six Senior PGA Tour Championships, the Robert Trent Jones Sr. design has hosted some of the game’s legends and countless buddy trips. 

True Blue Golf Club, which is also ranked among the nation’s top 100 public courses by Golf Magazine and Golfweek, was No. 41 on Ginella’s list. True Blue, Caledonia’s sister course, wows golfers with enormous fairways, which are framed by waste bunkers, and the diversity of challenges it offers players.
