A daunting par 3 near the start of your round at Arcadian Shores, Hole No. 2 reflects Rees Jones’ vision for the property when he designed the course decades ago. See how Paige and Arcadian Shores’ assistant golf professional, Jay Coyle, navigated it.
Paige: Hey, everyone. It’s Paige, and we’re at Arcadian Shores today with Jay. He’s picked two of his favorite holes here. Why did you pick No. 2, the par 3?
Jay: This is the first hole on the front side that’s strictly a carry over water. When Rees Jones designed this course and he saw this area, he automatically knew what he wanted to do with it.
Paige: It’s a little tricky today with the cold and the wind, but we can do it!
Jay: We can do it! That’s why we look at the flag back there; that tells us the wind direction!
