Golfers from around the world will soon have their chance to secure a spot in the 43rd Annual Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship, as registration officially opens March 18. Known as the largest amateur golf tournament in the world, the World Am returns to the Grand Strand with another unforgettable week of competition, camaraderie, and celebration in The Golf Capital of the World®.
Each year, roughly 3,000 players descend on Myrtle Beach for this one-of-a-kind experience. The tournament welcomes golfers of nearly every skill level, from low-handicap competitors chasing a title to players simply looking to enjoy a fun week of golf with friends. The inclusive format includes 12 divisions, 60 competitive flights, and several “Just For Fun” flights, ensuring everyone can find the right fit for their game.

Part of what makes the World Am special is the incredible diversity of its field. Last year, golfers traveled to Myrtle Beach from 47 U.S. states and 18 foreign countries, including Canada, Portugal, Italy, Germany, and Great Britain.
Whether players arrive with longtime golf buddies or meet new partners along the way, the event has built a reputation for creating lasting friendships and unforgettable memories both on and off the course.

From the competition and world-class golf courses to the incredible atmosphere of the 19th Hole, the Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship delivers a tournament experience unlike anything else in the game.
Registration opens March 18, and golfers are encouraged to sign up early to secure the best pricing, preferred lodging options, and their spot in this global golf celebration.
