Sea Trail-Maples Course Undergoing Major Renovations

The Maples Course at Sea Trail Golf Resort has temporarily closed to undergo a major transformation, with Phase One of the “Maples Makeover” involving a full-scale renovation aimed that will elevate the classic layout while embracing the landscape’s natural beauty.

Among the highlights, the Maples Course will receive:

  • A full greens renovation with newTifEagle Bermuda greens and Tahoma 31 collars
  • Internal layout enhancements, including the addition of waste bunkers and naturalized areas – building on the style already introduced on Hole 8
  • New irrigation heads to support long-term course health and playability
  • Landscape beautificationthroughout the course for an elevated aesthetic
  • Brand new directional signage on both the Maples & Jones Courses
  • A dedicated practice green, one of two being added to the complex wih the other behind the Jones-Byrd clubhouse

The Maples Course renovation is the latest in a series of major renovations and enhancements being implemented at Sea Trail Resort. The Byrd Course completed its makeover in fall 2024, following an overhaul of the Sea Trail Golf Resort Convention Center that included a host of new dining options and a new pro shop for the Byrd-Jones courses.
