The Time is Now: GolfPass Rates Myrtle Beach High Among Top 10 Fall Golf Destinations

If you needed another reason to see that the time is now for a fall Myrtle Beach golf getaway, consider GolfPass’ recent article by Jason Scott Deegan that makes his case for this year’s top 10 fall golf trip destinations. To no surprise, Myrtle Beach ranks high on Deegan’s list that rates the Grand Strand golf scene No. 3 in the country as well as the top choice among all options in the Palmetto State.

Deegan’s full list includes:

  1. Pinehurst, North Carolina
  2. San Diego, California
  3. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
  4. Charleston & Kiawah Island, South Carolina
  5. San Francisco Bay Area, California
  6. Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
  7. Ozarks, Missouri
  8. Blue Ridge Mountains
  9. Texas Hill Country
  10. Maine

Deegan cited GolfPass’ World Top 100 golf destinations, where Myrtle Beach ranked 13th globally, along with the unique dynamics of 2021 travel among the factors they considered in presenting this list.

In singling out Myrtle Beach, Deegan notes that the Grand Strand’s “(Fall) Conditions should be elite. I’d recommend hitting one or two bucket-list choices (like Tidewater or Barefoot Resort’s four courses), while mixing in other mid-tier-priced courses to keep the trip within a reasonable budget. You can always come back.”
