It’s been non-stop action already at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club since Myrtle Beach’s top-rated golf course was announced as the host site of the first-ever PGA TOUR event to commit to the Grand Strand: the Myrtle Beach Classic, which begins in spring 2024. We’re just getting started with Charlie Rymer’s “Breaking Par” journey (Episode 2 from Heritage Club premieres Wednesday!), but believe it or not we’re already halfway through filming at the 66 Myrtle Beach courses “The Big Timer” is visiting, showcasing and trying to conquer in this pursuit. Final-round play of the 26^th Annual Family Golf Week saw warm, breezy and fantastic playing conditions, and our cameras caught the action of Saturday’s third round at The Dye Course at Barefoot Resort & Golf as well as the post-tournament awards presentations at Barefoot.

Nearly 850 players have descended upon the Grand Strand this week to take part in the 26^th Annual Family Golf Week, with first-round action teeing it up at eight award-winning designs throughout the Myrtle Beach area. The Big Timer’s journey begins today! PlayGolfMyrtleBeach.com’s Charlie Rymer launches his quest toward “Breaking Par” by teeing it up at the Grand Strand’s southernmost golf course – Wedgefield Country Club in Georgetown, S.C., where he’s taking on its renowned par-5 17^th hole that plays majestically into the Black River.
