Twelve Myrtle Beach-area designs have once more been named among Golfweek’s “Best Courses You Can Play” in the Carolinas as Caledonia Golf & Fish Club, The Dunes Golf & Beach Club, True Blue Golf Club, and TPC Myrtle Beach earned four of South Carolina’s top 10 selections and Thistle Golf Club returned with high honors in North Carolina.

Our latest stop in The Golf Capital of the World® takes us to North Myrtle Beach, where the Davis Love III signature design at Barefoot Resort & Golf takes its turn in the “show & tell” lens. Play Golf Myrtle Beach’s Jim Maggio made an early-morning stop there last week, and in his travels captured an assortment of images from throughout the course.

Today we return to the South Strand region of The Golf Capital of the World®, where a picture-perfect morning awaited our camera lenses both from the ground and in the air. Play Golf Myrtle Beach’s David Williams made a pre-dawn stop last Friday at Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club, and in his travels captured this spectacular imagery of the Jack Nicklaus classic.

A Clyde Johnston design that boasts wide, playable fairways and excellent playability for average golfers, Shaftesbury Glen Golf & Fish Club still offers some bite to challenge the single-digit index crowd.

Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) is celebrating the arrival of its newest airline partner as Contour Airlines has launched its inaugural nonstop flight to Beckley, West Virginia.
