Golfers from around the world will soon have their chance to secure a spot in the 43rd Annual Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship, as registration officially opens March 18.

Play Golf Myrtle Beach’s David Williams took to the skies this past weekend, capturing stunning drone footage of TPC Myrtle Beach during the Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship—and the course has never looked better.

For three days in early March, some of the best junior golfers in the world gathered along the South Carolina coast for the Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship, showcasing elite talent and world-class competition at TPC Myrtle Beach.

Just north of Myrtle Beach in Conway sits a course that feels both classic and refreshingly distinctive: Shaftesbury Glen Golf & Fish Club. Designed by the legendary Clyde Johnston, the course blends Lowcountry landscape with a style reminiscent of traditional British Isles layouts—wide, visually dramatic, and strategically demanding around the greens.

One of Myrtle Beach’s most recognizable golf courses has entered a new era. King’s North at Myrtle Beach National has officially reopened following a comprehensive redesign that unfolded over more than two years, bringing thoughtful updates to the Arnold Palmer classic while preserving the spirit that made it famous.

For thousands of players each year, the Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship is more than a competition. It is a week-long celebration of the game, where golfers from across the country and around the world gather in Myrtle Beach to compete, connect, and immerse themselves in one of golf’s most unique amateur events.
