When you stay oceanfront, sleeping with sliding glass door cracked open, allowing the sound of the gently pounding surf to waft through the room is one of life’s simple pleasures, as is enjoying a cup coffee on the balcony before leaving for the course. If you want North Myrtle Beach to serve as the base for your next golf trip (and there are a lot of good reasons to do so!), here are five of the area’s best accommodations options.

As first reported by MyrtleBeachGolfTrips.com, Founders Group International (FGI), the parent company of renowned Jack Nicklaus design Pawleys Plantation, announced Tuesday that the Lowcountry track will receive a makeover this summer. The acclaimed design will close in late May to launch a four-month long greens, bunkers and clubhouse renovation project that will reinvigorate the course.

Golf is a game of rules, and every player should be mostly familiar with the regulations set forth by the United States Golf Association (USGA). However, many golfers, even experienced ones, may not know ALL the rules, and this can lead to penalties, disputes, and frustration. Here, we’ll explore five common USGA rules that you and your golf group may not be aware of – but should be. So, let’s dive in and improve (or review) your knowledge of the game!

Travelers at the Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) can look forward to new nonstop flight options this summer from two of its most active airlines. Beginning May 15, Spirit Airlines will launch new seasonal flights serving Rochester, NY (ROC), while Allegiant Airlines will launch new seasonal flights to and from Akron-Canton, OH (CAK) starting June 1.

Noah Kent (Naples, FL), Jake Albert (Blacksburg, VA) and Julia Herzberg (Aberdeen, NC) emerged atop the field Saturday at TPC Myrtle Beach to earn qualifying spots in the Eighth Annual Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship Presented by LA Golf, set for March 3-5 at the renowned Tom Fazio/Lanny Wadkins design.
