Prestwick Country Club has reopened for play following a 45-day closure to complete notable renovations work on the design’s front nine. A full field of nearly 240 players descended upon the Grand Strand golf scene this week to kick off Myrtle Beach’s 2024 tournament season by teeing it up in the 10th edition of the Brittain Resorts Classic.

Bob Seganti, General Manager of Caledonia Golf & Fish Club, True Blue Golf Club and Caledonia Golf Vacations, has been honored by the National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) as its 2024 recipient of their Paul Porter Award – established to recognize an NGCOA member who has left an enduring mark on a national or international affiliate through the highest level of commitment, service, and leadership.

His father put his mark on the Myrtle Beach golf scene decades earlier. Taking the chance to branch out on his own, “The Open Doctor” chose the Grand Strand as the canvas for his first solo creation.
